Just when I think that I have this routine down pat, I go and forget to write! I honestly sat on my couch last night with my laptop on my lap. I had gone to the sites I like to follow, replied to all of my emails and thought to myself "I feel like I have one more thing to do" and couldn't figure out what it was! Darn that "Mommy Brain"! (Has anyone ever told you that as soon as you have kids your brain malfunctions!! Its so true!).

Hey Oprah Show! So I was chatting with my friend and workout partner yesterday about my mission to get tickets to a taping of Oprah...I'm sure I was rambling ON and ON about how'd I love to come before the show goes of the air and how I decided to start a campaign and write everyday and how I was posting my efforts to a blog and how it seems like EVERYONE but me has actually been.

She replies with - "you are crazy" and "yeah, I went to Oprah's show once (well twice, but they had to send us home the first time so we went back the next day)". SEE - I said! Everyone has been but me (my cousins, an aunt and uncle, my great aunt, friends, MY HUSBAND, my friends sister-she was in the audience the day you gave the cars away!!, people I went to school with, former co-workers)!!

Please find it in your generous spirit to send me a couple of tickets! It would totally make my day!

Hi Oprah friends...it's me again. Busy Busy week for me! I wish I had a personal assistant this week, I could really use one (I'm sure every mom feels that way for sure)!

I'm writing to you today to ask if you have any available tickets? Maybe a Friday live show? A show that deals with saving money or making smart decisions about your finances? Maybe a show with a fun topic that relates to motherhood, parenting, celebrities. Whatever works for me - well ok, I guess I really don't want to come see a show about child molestors, that show just creeped me out!

Holla!

It's Saturday night...what's a girl like me doing? Sipping on a glass of wine and hanging out at home with the fam! Exciting right?

I know that you fill your audience will all kinds of people...a lot of them are moms just like me...but I hope that you'll consider sending me tickets to attend an upcoming show! You see this mama needs a pick me up! My mom recently had open heart surgery (successful I might add, and probably the best thing that has happened to her since she has a new lease on life), I am a stay at home mom of two very energetic boys, and I have a husband who works so incredibly hard and I miss him so much! I am always busy fluttering about taking care of everyone else, and this would be something just for me! I don't know that I could verbally explain what it would mean to me to actually get to come and see the show in person! So please PICK ME...PICK ME!

It's been a crazy week and I'm so happy the weekend is here! The only thing that could make this approaching weekend better is finding out that you are blessing me with tickets to come see the show! The kids had a 3 day weekend last weekend and I'm so grateful it is not the case again this weekend :P!

Hey there Oprah Show type people! What a beautiful day in Chicagoland! I swear my car thermometer said 54 when I picked up my oldest from Kindergarten today! Too bad the snow is rolling back in over the weekend...sigh! For some reason this winter has affected me in strange ways. I'm usually not one to wish for the summer (since I'm not really fond extreme temperatures cold or HOT), I really can't wait for summer to roll around :)!

So I was catching up on my DVR last night watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and I thought that you guys should do a show on "celebrity" reality tv stars. I know you've had reality tv stars on, but what about the Kardashians, Tori Spelling and family, Kendra and the former girls next door. It would be fun to see them outside of their "reality" setting really talking about what is going on with them!

Dear Oprah Show Day 11

Hi Oprah Peeps...

Day 11 in my quest to get tickets to come see the Oprah show! I'm so excited to come, I just know you are going to make this happen for me :)! I wrote to the show a few times in years past because I have the most awesome group of "online mommy friends" that live all across the country. I think it would be a great show topic - bringing together people who met online, are part of each other's everyday lives, but most of whom have never met in person! Don't you think that would be fun?

My special group of ladies all have children that were born in Sept 2003! We all met on babycenter.com while pregnant or shortly after giving birth. There are a few of us who live here in Chicagoland and see each other on a regular basis, there are a few of us that make a point to meetup while we are in town for business or travelling, and there are some who we've travelled specifically to meet and spend time with! We have tried to organize a big meetup with everyone in the past and it hasn't happened because of husbands loosing their jobs, getting pregnant or having a nursing baby, or that our husbands don't get why we'd want to travel across the country to meet strangers. But we are not strangers, we are family. I love these girls with all my heart...they have been there for me through post-partum depression, the birth of both of my boys, through family medical issues and just listen to the mundane routine of my everyday life. They are my sounding board, my counselors and my advisors. I know that I can always turn to them (even when I'm still in my jammies, haven't showered or brushed my teeth)!

I didn't get a response before, but I thought I would mention them again because I do think it would make a really fun show topic! And even if you don't agree, I would still love (and appreciate) an opportunity to come see the show!

Dear Oprah Show -

I'm writing to you today to request tickets to attend a taping of a show. My 3 year old (who is sitting so close to me on the couch I barely have enough elbow room to type) has a cold and I can't figure out how to teach him to blow his nose so maybe it could be a show about how to teach your kids things that are seemingly unteachable? Nah, just kidding.

I have always wanted to come to Harpo to see The Oprah Show in action! What seems like a lifetime ago, I finished my B.A. in Television Production at Columbia College Chicago. I never applied for a job at Harpo (even though I've often thought of doing so and in hindsight I wish I had), but I've always wanted to come check it out! My very first job out of college I was working for Superior Street Post and would see producers come and go working on the editing of their shows. I thought I'd be able to get my ticket then, but it never happened. And I guess it might have happened if I had asked, but I didn't. So today I'm asking. Can I have some tickets to come see the show?

Did you feel the earthquake this morning? I mean really, we live in Chicago, we aren't supposed to get earthquakes are we? I know there is a fault line nearby, I just always thought we needed to worry about tornados not earthquakes! I woke up at 4 am this morning not really knowing what the heck was going on, but I'm sure glad that it wasn't that big of a deal (after seeing the devastation of what one can do in Haiti)!

Dear Oprah Show...

I'm writing to you today to request tickets to come see a taping of the show. I'm not really sure what the "right" process for requesting tickets is, but I figured I'd email you and give it a shot. I have always admired Oprah and the topics that she brings to the surface for the public. The shows are fun, informative and educational...I'm not quite sure who will fill that void when it goes off the air in 2011.

A few months ago I thought I was finally going to get my ticket to come to the show. I was walking through Woodfield Mall with my boys when a friendly woman stopped me and asked if she could interview me about fashion. I chuckled as I stood there in my mom-uniform and probably looked at her like she had 3 heads! Me? Fashion? HA! But I told her my thoughts on camera and prayed that I wasn't embarrassing my family (Could it be a frumpy mommy make-over show??). After we spoke and I signed the release forms she mentioned they didn't know exactly what path the show was going to take but that it was going to be with Rita Wilson about fashion and asked if she could call me later that week.

I hoped that she would...but tried to tell myself that she wouldn't because I didn't want to be too disappointed (and even though I kept telling myself that over and over, by the end of the week I was getting a make-over, a spa day and a new car!!). Alas she didn't call...and my dream of coming to the show slipped through my fingers! So I decided the other day that I wasn't going to let that stop me and I was going to try my hardest to get tickets to the show! So if you have 2 tickets to spare (Heck, I would take one ticket and come ALONE!!)...please consider sending them to me :)!

I'm writing to you today to request tickets to come see a show tape in person! I have always wanted to do this and decided that the only way I was going to make that happen is to ask. I am a stay at home mom of 2 small boys (ages 6 and 3). Right now as I type this my legs are extended to the ottoman with a blanket over them as I am the finishing piece of their homemade fort/tunnel. I also get the pleasure of hearing "Stop it brother, you're ruining the fort" over and over again. As you might suspect...I need a day off :P! Dear Oprah Show Day 1

I'm writing to you today because coming to a taping of The Oprah Show has always been one of those things "I'd love to do in my life". I am a SAHM of 2 little boys and although I rarely get to watch the show live, I do DVR it everyday to watch later when my boys are in bed (gotta love the invention of the DVR)! When I watched Oprah tell her viewers several months back that she'd be ending her show in 2011 I was heart broken. I actually sat on my couch and had "a moment" because I felt like I missed my chance. Part of me was sad because although I have a degree in television production, I never applied to work for Harpo and felt regret about that. But even more than that surely all of the tickets for the next year and a half would be quickly snatched up and I would never get to come see the show tape in person.

Last night as I slept I decided in my dream that I was going to find a way to get tickets to the show because I didn't want to always look back and think "I should have tried harder" or "That was something I really wish I had done". I think sometimes as mothers we forget to put energy behind our own dreams and ambitions. I have spent so much time over the past 7 years doing things for my children that I kind of forgot that I am a "go-getter" and I can make things happen if I put my mind to it.

So when I woke up this morning I decided to make the time to "put my mind to it"! Step 1: writing you this email to request tickets to an upcoming taping.
